Greenway Turf Solutions is delighted to announce the appointment of Phil Soegaard as the company's new Technical Field Agent. Phil will be based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, and is set to commence his role in mid-February 2024.
Phil brings over three decades of experience in the professional turf industry, making him a seasoned expert in the field. For the past 22 years, Phil has been an integral part of Lakelands Golf Club on the Gold Coast.
Over the last 17 years, he has served as Lakelands' Golf Course Superintendent, overseeing the club's transformation into the recipient of Australia's Best Conditioned Public Access Course Award an impressive seven times. Phil's dedication and commitment to excellence in his role did not go unnoticed, as he was honoured with the GCSAQ Excellence Award in 2016, followed by the AGCSA Excellence in Golf Course Management Award and Golf Digest Superintendent of the Year in 2017. Phil's leadership extended beyond the golf course, as he played a crucial role in mentoring three AGCSA/ASTMA Apprentice of the Year Award winners during his tenure as Superintendent.
